Tech Support Guy System Info Utility version 1.0.0. Though the head-phone audio quality was good, I was not able to record any videos due to this issue. There may be other things I've tried but as it was late last night I scribbled down all the above and went to bed. I moved the default from 0Hz (dvd quality) to 00 Hz (studio quality) = no difference. I selected 'properties', clicked the advanced tab. So, back to 'playback devices & playback tab. Under the Communications tab, click on the radio button associated with Do nothing.
Next I right clicked the speakers icon in the system tray & selected 'Playback devices' in the 'Communications tab' I set it to 'do nothing'' = no difference so I clicked 'playback tab' & double clicked speakers, clicked properties, clicked advanced tab & unchecked the 'Allow applications to take exclusive controll of this device' =no difference. Solution 4: Communication Settings Open Windows Search by pressing Win + S.
The Windows 7 and Windows 10 audio subsystems use similar algorithms to determine the default audio endpoint when no user preference has been specified. I've been into Device Manager & opened up 'Sound, video & game controller and updated the drivers = no difference. However, starting in Windows 10 there is the option to target a different endpoint for these roles to different applications using the App volume and device preferences page. I'm not computer savvy but I tried a few things I found on the net but it's still the same. All ok except for the sound which although audible enough is a lot lower than before the upgrade.
